A two-character cave puzzle
Keys, gems, and switches need both heroes
Fire Hero and Water Princess is a two-character cave adventure built around linked routes. Reaching a key or moving a platform for one hero often creates the route required by the other.
The familiar-looking element theme does not make it part of the Fireboy and Watergirl series. Treat it as a separate co-op puzzle with its own layout and player roles.
Core mechanics: keep the pair connected
Keys, gems, levers, and moving platforms encourage players to scan the full cave before taking the first shortcut. One player may need to stay near a control until the other has crossed a gap.
Color-based hazards create different safe lanes for the two heroes. Read each route before moving, then use switches and platforms to reconnect the pair at the next objective.
- Find both exits before committing to a key route.
- Check whether a lever must remain active after a platform moves.
- Bring both heroes back to a safe shared area before changing plans.
New-player strategy: solve the return route first
When a character crosses alone to reach a lever or key, first confirm how they will return or how the second character will join them. This prevents a correct-looking move from splitting the pair permanently.
Collect optional gems after the route to both exits is stable. In cooperative puzzles, a safe finish is more valuable than a quick detour.
Controls and co-op setup
The embedded player shows the active key bindings before play. Assign one character to each player, or move one hero to a safe platform before switching characters in solo play.
Plan around both exits before collecting every gem. A lever that moves one platform can be the only safe route for the character left behind.

Common questions
Is Fire Hero and Water Princess an official Fireboy and Watergirl sequel?
No. It is listed here as a separate two-character puzzle adventure with similar co-op ideas, not as an official sequel.
Should we collect gems before opening the exit route?
Usually not. Confirm the exit route for both characters first, then return for gems on paths that are already known to be safe.
